Yonezawa’s safflowers bloom in Yokohama for two days!
A safflower exhibition, product fair, and events will be held in Yokohama City!
Located at the headwaters of Yamagata Prefecture’s Mogami River, Yonezawa City has a strong history of safflower cultivation and dyeing. Currently, Yonezawa City is advancing the “Mogami River Headwaters Yonezawa Safflower Project” to pass down safflowers to future generations and revitalize the region.
Thanks to the bond formed through the planting of the “Keiou Cherry Blossom,” Yokohama City will host an exhibition and tourism product fair featuring safflowers.
We hope that through safflowers, people in the metropolitan area will come to know Yonezawa City better.
