Otaka Poppo

Otaka Poppo Painting

The otaka poppo is a wooden figure carved in the shape of a hawk and it it considered one of Yonezawa's traditional crafts. You can paint a figure of your own at workshops like Yozan.

Weaving & Dyeing

Wakuwaku-kan Fabric Weaving and Dyeing

Weave with a traditional loom and use safflower, indigo, and other such dyes to create beautiful patterns on fabric.
