As the hot and sweltering summer comes to an end, the season transitions to autumn. With autumn comes a desire to indulge in the pleasures of the season: food, reading, sports, and more.

Autumn is the perfect match for Yamagata Prefecture! Why not experience the bountiful gifts of nature and immerse yourself in its culture?

This time, we are excited to introduce thrilling and heart-pounding experience programs perfect for the autumn season in the Okitama area, located in the southern part of Yamagata Prefecture. There’s something for everyone to enjoy—families with children, couples, and groups of friends!

If you’re considering an autumn trip or want to create something unique while connecting with nature in Yamagata, be sure to check this out!

Safflower Dyeing Experience

  • Duration: Year-round (closed on Wednesdays)
  • Registration Deadline: Online reservations accepted up to two days before the desired date (phone reservations until the day before)
  • Experience Fee: Handkerchief 1,320 yen (tax included), Scarf from 3,300 yen (tax included)
  • Experience Time: Approximately 40 minutes
  • Capacity: Up to 20 people for groups
