Recruitment of Snow Lantern Creation Groups for the 49th Uesugi Snow Lantern Festival

The Uesugi Snow Lantern Festival will be held over two days, February 14 (Saturday) and 15 (Sunday), 2026.

This beloved winter festival is one of Yonezawa’s signature events, attracting many visitors each year.
Our aim is to envelop Yonezawa’s cold and harsh winter in the gentle glow of snow lanterns, creating a magical and enchanting atmosphere throughout the venue.

We are now inviting groups to participate in creating snow lanterns for the festival site.
Schools, neighborhood associations, companies, clubs, and other groups are warmly encouraged to join in and help make the festival even more exciting!

We look forward to receiving your applications!
