Tōkō Sake Museum

Enjoy the atmosphere of an old-fashioned Japanese sake brewery at Tōkō Sake Museum.

The massive facility, which spans almost 4,000 square meters, keeps old brewing tools and other items on display for visitors. With a traditional look and atmosphere, this brewery fits in perfectly with the local aesthetic of Yonezawa.

The facility was restored and reopened in 1984 with the goal of showcasing how sake is made to a wide variety of people. Additionally, an exhibition room showcasing materials related to Uesugi Yōzan is located in the brewery.
