Autumn Foliage Information for Tengendai and Mt. Nishi-Azuma

Autumn Foliage Update for Tengendai and Mt. Nishi-Azuma (as of October 7)

The area around Ningyo-ishi offers a breathtaking view that looks just like a beautiful carpet of autumn colors.

The best viewing spot right now is around Hokubodai in the Tengendai Highlands!

The view of the Myodozawa Valley, seen from the Naka-Azuma Observatory located near the boarding area of the “Shakunage Romance Lift,” has also started to show some color.

Heading into the weekend, the foliage around the Kaen-no-taki (Flame Falls) Observatory in the Tengendai Highlands is also expected to turn vibrant.

We warmly invite you to experience the beauty of autumn in the Tengendai Highlands!

Note: The summer season operations run until Sunday, October 26.
