“Mini Uesugi Festival in Hiyoshi” – November 23 (Sat) & November 24 (Sun)!

Mini Uesugi Festival in Hiyoshi – November 23 (Sat) & November 24 (Sun)!!

Sengoku-era warriors from Yonezawa are bringing “delicious” and “fun” to Hiyoshi, Yokohama for the first time! This fall, Hiyoshi will be buzzing with excitement!

Yonezawa may seem far away, but it’s actually just a 2-hour ride from Tokyo Station by bullet train. The city strikes a perfect balance between rich nature and urban convenience. A short drive from the city reveals tranquil farmlands and stunning mountain views. Every spring, the “Yonezawa Uesugi Festival” is held in Yonezawa, where around 1,000 people in full armor recreate a grand Sengoku-era battle scene. The powerful atmosphere that can only be experienced there is now coming to Hiyoshi as the Mini Uesugi Festival!

At this event, you can enjoy Yonezawa’s local specialties, fun workshops, and the sale of Yonezawa textiles, including traditional Yonezawa weaving scarves. Also, the “Yamagata Love Warrior Team,” a popular historical group representing Yamagata, will make an appearance! Additionally, there will be a booth for the mobile location-based game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sengoku Shutsujin, where you can receive limited-edition original goods. You can also try on armor and experience what it’s like to step back in time to the Sengoku period!

Make unforgettable memories this fall at the Mini Uesugi Festival in Hiyoshi, and immerse yourself in the charm of Yonezawa! We look forward to welcoming you all!
