2026 Yonezawa Uesugi Festival
Audition for the Role of “Lord Uesugi Kenshin” in the Uesugi Clan Parade
For the Yonezawa Uesugi Festival Uesugi Clan Parade to be held on May 3 (Sunday, National Holiday), 2026, we will select the performer for the role of Lord Uesugi Kenshin through an audition.

May 3, 2026 (Sunday, National Holiday)
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (tentative)
Details:
The selected individual will give the battle cry at the departure ceremony of the Uesugi Clan Parade, wear the commander’s armor, ride on horseback, and lead the troops to the battlefield venue.
(Participation is limited to the parade only and does not include the battle reenactment.)
Participation Fee:
20,000 JPY (includes costume, dressing service, lunch, insurance, commemorative gift, etc.)
The fee is required only for those who pass the audition.
◆ Eligibility Requirements ◆
- Applicants must be 20 years of age or older and physically fit.
- Applicants must be in good health.
- Applicants must be able to attend the rehearsal on
May 2 (Saturday), 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (tentative).

Selection Process:
Applicants will be evaluated through a performance demonstration and interview.
If there are many applicants, a document screening will be conducted in advance.
Notification of Results:
Applicants will be notified individually at a later date.
