Onogawa Onsen “Bean Sprout Harvesting Experience”

Enjoy a hands-on harvesting experience of mame-moyashi (bean sprouts), a local specialty of Onogawa Onsen!

You can take home the freshly harvested bean sprouts with you.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience local food culture!

In front of Takinoyu Public Bath, Onogawa Onsen

◇ Meeting Time
Times vary by day of the week.

  • Mon / Wed / Fri / Sat / Sun: 10:00 AM
  • Tue / Thu: 4:00 PM

◇ Participation Fee

  • Adults: 2,500 yen
  • Children: 1,200 yen

◇ How to Apply
Please apply by phone or via the QR code on the flyer.
(Applications must be made at least two days in advance.)

Service Details

Enjoy a hands-on harvesting experience of Onogawa Onsen mame-moyashi (bean sprouts).
All harvested bean sprouts can be taken home with you.


Schedule on the Day

Payment at Meito no Yado Azumaso (Azumaso Inn)
→ Meet at the site (in front of Takinoyu Public Bath, Onogawa Onsen)
→ Introduction to Onogawa mame-moyashi (overview and history)
→ Explanation of the harvesting process
→ Bean sprout harvesting experience
→ Packing
→ Dismissal

The total duration is approximately 1 hour.


Important Notes for Reservation

Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Wearing boots is recommended.


Payment Information

Payment must be made at Meito no Yado Azumaso.
Cash payment only.


Children’s Fees

The children’s fee is 1,200 yen.
When making a reservation, please book using the adult rate including children,
and the discount will be applied at the time of payment on the day.


Cancellation Policy

For same-day cancellations without prior notice, 100% of the participation fee will be charged.
