“Haburashi Snow Monster” Guided Lift Hiking Tour

The unique “Haburashi Snow Monsters (Ice Trees)” of Mt. Azuma are formed by the mountain’s high elevation and distinctive climate.

Enjoy the breathtaking sight of ice-covered trees standing side by side like residents of the mountain, surrounded by a stunning world of pure white snow.
From the Kitabodai Observatory (1,820 m above sea level), take in a spectacular panoramic view of the Yonezawa Basin below.

This guided tour ensures a safe and enjoyable experience.

Rental Equipment Available

  • Winter wear: 2,800 yen
  • Snowshoes: 1,500 yen
  • Traditional snowshoes (Kanjiki): 500 yen
