Miyasaka Zensuke spent his life collecting items and materials related to fields such as archeology, history, and folk customs from Yonezawa and the Okitama region. Thanks to his efforts, more than 700 precious items have been preserved. Armor sets, guns, spears, and fielding screens are among the multitude of cultural assets related to Yonezawa Domain on display. Armor and weapons said to be used by the likes of Uesugi Kenshin, Uesugi Kanetsugu, and Maeda Keiji are available for visitors to see as well. This museum is a must-see for anyone who is interested in samurai and Japanese history in general.
