Special Exhibition at Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum:“Bruno Munari Exhibition” – Opening Saturday, November 29

Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum [Special Exhibition]

“Bruno Munari: Art Before Art”

Opening Saturday, November 29, 2025

Art is often seen as something difficult to approach or hard to understand.
Bruno Munari (1907–1998), an Italian artist, broke down those barriers—helping people discover the beauty and playfulness of shapes, colors, and design found in everyday life.

Munari was active in a wide range of fields, including product design, graphic design, picture books, and art education for children. His works are filled with creativity and humor.
Believing that art should not only be something to look at, but also a means of communication, a spark for imagination, and, above all, something to enjoy, Munari presented art in many forms as a way to enrich daily life.

This exhibition features about 300 works and materials, inviting visitors to experience the power of visual communication and the joy of finding “seeds of art” in everyday moments.
No words are needed—you will discover a new way of sensing art.
