The 48th Uesugi Snow Lantern Festival “Bamboo Lights × Snow × Prayer 2025” will be held on February 8th (Saturday) and February 9th (Sunday).

~ A Project to Illuminate and Connect the Community with “Bamboo Lights” ~

The “Bamboo Lights” created by local citizens will be lit as a prayer for the souls of those affected by disasters such as the earthquake, tsunami, and floods, and for their recovery.

Please enjoy the vibrant display of “color candles” alongside the glow of the “Bamboo Lights.”

◇ Event Dates: February 8 (Saturday) and 9 (Sunday), 2025

  • Lighting Hours: February 8, 17:30–21:00
    February 9, 17:30–20:00

◇ Venue: In front of Dengo-no-Mori Festival Grounds

◇ Bamboo Lights Making Workshop

【Date】February 9 (Sunday), 11:00–15:00
【Venue】Dengo-no-Mori 2nd Floor Small Conference Room
【Fee】1,000 yen (per piece)

※ First 20 participants, no reservation required
※ Also featuring a flyer for the 48th Uesugi Snow Lantern Festival just before the event

Let’s make bamboo lights together and add excitement to the festival!
The completed bamboo lights will be temporarily displayed at the Uesugi Snow Lantern Festival venue. Afterward, you can enjoy them at home.
