Notices

The “Sasano Kannon Seventeen-Hall Festival” will take place on Saturday, January 17.

The Sasano Kannon Seventeen-Hall Festival will be held again this year on Saturday, January 17, as it is every year.

Traditionally, the festival was held on the 17th day of the 12th month of the lunar calendar and is also known as a New Year’s Eve festival.

Throughout the day, the grounds are lively with stalls selling traditional one-knife wood carvings, where visitors can purchase lucky charms such as Otaka Poppo, Sasano flowers, Ebisu and Daikoku, and zodiac figurines.

Within the temple grounds, a powerful fire-walking ritual is performed to pray for good health and protection from illness.

Please come and celebrate with your family, and pray for health and well-being throughout the coming year.
