◇ Uesugi Shrine Keishoden Hall
The treasure hall of Uesugi Shrine, where swords, armor, and other valuable items are stored and displayed.
Don’t miss the armor and swords that are said to have been owned by Uesugi Kenshin, Uesugi Kagekatsu, and Naoe Kanetsugu.
◇ Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum
The museum stores and displays Uesugi-related items, including national treasures.
Yonezawa’s history and culture are clearly introduced through exhibits and a theater.

◇ Uesugi Family Mausoleum
A nationally designated historic site, the Yonezawa Domain Uesugi Family Mausoleum features tombs from the family’s ancestors, with the mausoleum of Uesugi Kenshin at the center and the tombs of up to the 12th generation, Uesugi Narinari. The area is filled with a solemn and reverent atmosphere.
◇ Miyasaka Archaeological Museum
The museum houses and displays valuable cultural artifacts related to the Uesugi family, including armor said to have been used by Maeda Keiji and matchlock guns passed down in the Yonezawa Domain.
◇ Sake Brewing Museum Toko Sake Brewery
In one of the largest sake breweries in the Tohoku region, the museum displays 17 large 6-shaku barrels and tools over 100 years old.
You can also experience the atmosphere of the Meiji era, including the living spaces of that time.
◇ Kasugayama Rinsenji Temple
Originally from Echigo, this temple serves as the ancestral temple of the Uesugi family. It is the burial site of important figures such as Uesugi family wives and high-ranking vassals, including Naoe Kanetsugu.
