Cherry Picking in Yonezawa!

Yamagata is famous for its cherries and is known as the largest producer of cherries in the whole of Japan! You can have your pick of juicy and succulent cherries right here in Yonezawa this cherry season too!

Here are the fruit farms that are open this season!

Kamimura Kajuen

–    One cherry picking session lasts 1 hour
–    Picked cherries cannot be packed for take away.
–    Cherry picking can be done on rainy days as well
–    Groups of 10 and above must book a session in advance.

Availability

17th June 2023 (Saturday) ~ Early-July

Opening Hours

8:30 am ~ 5:00 pm (Last entry at 4:00 pm)

Fees

Regular entry – 1,200 yen
Elementary school students – 1,000 yen
Preschoolers and below – Free

Wagatsuma Kankou Kajuen

* Due to poor harvests from frost damages in April, new bookings will not be accepted for cherry picking in 2023.

–    One cherry picking session lasts 30 minutes
–    Picked cherries can be kept for take away with a 1,000 yen fee.

Elementary school students – 1,200 yen
Preschoolers – 500 yen
Toddlers (3 years and below) – Free
